Psalm 1:4,5, ‘Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.’ The sinners, rebellious and disobedient in nature, lack an anchoring and are blown away and tossed about because they do not know the truth. They deceive themselves by trusting in their own thinking, their own foolish wisdom that cannot stand scrutiny, that is weak and thus when they come to a fad, a current trend, they are easily swayed, moved about like chaff blown off by the wind to oblivion. SO how can they stand judgment, how can they survive to stand in the assembly of the righteous that are anchored on Jesus, that are filled with the truth of God. Joshua 1:5-10, ‘“No-one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.
