Be Wise Woman

Proverbs 14:1, 'The wise woman builds her own house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.' It is a woman who turns a house into a home through her tenderness and caring heart. A wise woman of God knows this and through her noble character earns her husband's confidence, good and ensures that everything in the home is in ordered in its place by watching over the affairs of her home. Her husband will be honored and respected and he is sure to bless and praise her all the days of her life (Proverbs 31:10-31). But a foolish woman tears down her home by constant nagging, driving the husband away from the home, disparaging the name of her husband to everyone caring to listen, not watching over the affairs of her home, not instructing her children on the way to go. All this will bring curses and rebuke from her husband. O woman, be wise and build your home for prosperity and posterity. Silence is a Virtue

Proverbs 12:23, ‘A prudent man keeps his knowledge to himself, but the heart of fools blurts out folly.’ We live in a world where everyone feels obliged to give His two cents worth about everything. We have blogs on everything, we have experts who give us free advice us on everything. We demand that we have the right to know everything and we now have leaks on every issue from government to personal and private matters. But this freedom of speech of exercise at times exposes the ignorance of our generation as we say a lot but reveal nothing meaningful. It is election period and our politicians are falling over themselves to be constantly seen in the media spot light, in rallies, on podiums speaking for hours but telling us nothing really. This political noise that is raising tribal tensions is aggravating rather than edifying us and I would rather they just keep quiet if they have nothing better to say. Even a fool is thought to be wise if he keeps quiet.

God Knows All

Job 42:3, ‘…Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.’ We live in this world proclaiming to know everything about everything, labeling the bible as a bunch of lies, and claiming that our evidence supports the non existence of God. Just look at the evolution of our knowledge throughout man’s history will reveal that in reality we know nothing. Scientists believe that religion and science to be parallel which might be true; but you cannot separate yourself from God just because you are a scientist. Religion is not God; God is love and is the source of all knowledge. Just look at all the inventions that man has made throughout civilization, don’t you agree that they came at just the right time for mankind. Professed atheists and all non believers for that matter that eventually give their lives to the Lord appreciate what that Job after his tribulations, that even though we may not know or understand everything, our hope resides in the Lord in wh...
