My Refreshment

Exodus 33:12, 13, ‘Moses said to the LORD, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me.’ If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.”’ As members of the church, we are called upon to be leaders to those that are weaker than us, we are called upon to be a refreshing for others. Often when God has placed us in such positions where He is using us to refresh and nourish others, to lead others in the faith, we tend to forget about Him and think it is all about us, we forget that all that we are, all that we have is from Him. Moses found great favor with God. God met with Him face to face! Yet in all humility, Moses still knew that without God, he could not make it. He asked God to teach Him His ways so as to continue to be in right standing before God. How many t

The Potter of our Life

Jeremiah 18: 3,4, ‘So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as it seemed best to him.’ Those that are in Christ having allowed the great potter to do His work in our lives, to transform our minds and mould us to be what He wants us to be in Him. Before we are His we are marred, blemished, wrinkled but when we accept Him, He re-moulds us, shaping us into what is worthy to be called His church. He knows what is best for us so let Him be the master of your life; allow Him to be in control, to order your steps and you will not fall. He will guide you in the right paths, enriching you in the knowledge of the truth. Let Him be the light of your life.

The Lamb of God

John 1:29-31, ‘The next day John saw Jesus coming towards him and said, “Look, the lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is the one I meant when I said, ‘A Man who comes after me has surpassed me because He was before me.’ I myself did not know him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that He might be revealed to Israel.’ Jesus was there from the beginning of time and through Him everything in the world was created. Yet this same God shed His divinity to come and partake in the earthly world living as man so that He might redeem us back to Himself. John the Baptist did not feel worthy to baptize Jesus knowing who He was but he had to do it to satisfy all the requirement of the Laws. John the Baptist was baptizing with water in order to reveal to Israel the meaning of the baptism of the Spirit that was to come through Jesus Christ. As the Lamb Jesus was sacrificed by His father at the cross, suffering death so that man could have the confidence to come to

Our Redeemer

Isaiah 40:31, ‘…but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.’ For those of us who trust in Him, God is our source of strength for He renew us, giving us a new birth spiritually in Christ Jesus and then our heart and mind follow and then physically we are able to withstand, survive all hardships that are thrown up against us. O how I rejoice in the assurance that my hope is not in vain because He is my redeemer and my salvation.

Breaking From The Past

Isaiah 43:18, 19, ‘Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.’ When you become a believer, you are born again and are a new being in Christ dead to His former life that was in bondage to sin. But how many of us really shed off that longing of the former sinful life we had, how many of us let go of the guilt of sin that was gnawing at us. Christ is in us doing His work in us and will continue to do so until we become finished, a master piece. Even though now we may be feeling undeserving, unworthy of His love, His promise, His faithfulness abides forever and He will never forsake us. His love for us is everlasting. All we need is to place our faith in Him; and with this faith you will be able to see and receive His promise for you, you will be able to see His work in you and you will be able to break from the hold of your past and be free in de
