Breaking From The Past

Isaiah 43:18, 19, ‘Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.’ When you become a believer, you are born again and are a new being in Christ dead to His former life that was in bondage to sin. But how many of us really shed off that longing of the former sinful life we had, how many of us let go of the guilt of sin that was gnawing at us. Christ is in us doing His work in us and will continue to do so until we become finished, a master piece. Even though now we may be feeling undeserving, unworthy of His love, His promise, His faithfulness abides forever and He will never forsake us. His love for us is everlasting. All we need is to place our faith in Him; and with this faith you will be able to see and receive His promise for you, you will be able to see His work in you and you will be able to break from the hold of your past and be free in deed in Christ.
