We are God’s Workmanship

Psalm 28:6-9, ‘Praise be to the LORD, for He has heard my cry for mercy. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song. The LORD is the strength of His people, a fortress of salvation for His anointed one. Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them for ever.’ We are all God’s workmanship, so that no one can boast that he is saved by his own deeds, might or will. It is by the grace of God that we are saved, by having faith in He who He sent to suffer our judgment and die in our place, to be our fortress of salvation, so that those that believe in Him, who submit and wholly trust the anointed one of God – the Christ – then they will be redeemed, they will be strengthened, filled with peace and joy of God that is circumstance defying. Those that know who their Savior is, their Redeemer, sing shouts of praise to Him, thanking Him for all He has done, for His ...

Selfish Self Love

John 12:25, 26, ‘The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.’ We need to be careful not to exhibit this world’s kind of selfish self love that tends to exalt itself above God. Loving yourself in this manner leads to disobedience and rebellion that lead to Satan’s and Adam’s fall. God does not mean that you must hate yourself but you need to hate and resist the selfish desires of that sinful carnal nature in us that desires to control us and that the Devil tries to use to tempt us into disobedience and rebellion. If we are truly followers of Christ, then we need to gain control over this carnal man/ woman in us and submit in obedience to the command of the Lord just as He did to the Father’s will even to the point of handing Himself over to and enduring a death at the cross He did not deserve....

Is Your Faith Bearing Fruit

Hebrews 6:7-8, ´Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessings of God. But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.´ The word of God that we receive is like the rain on a parched land that nourishes it back to life. When we receive this word, we are brought back from the brink of death to an everlasting life. Now to us that have received the word, there are two expectations placed upon us. First we must not remain spiritual infants who are weak and continuously falling into the temptations of Satan and Secondly, we should share the good news and bring others to Christ Jesus. We have a responsibility of facilitating our spiritual growth improving our relationship in and with Christ by reading the scriptures to strengthen our faith and banish our ignorance of the truth, regularly going to God in prayer, continuo...

Are You A Mature Christian?

Hebrews 6:1-2, ´Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instructions about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment.´ How many of us consider ourselves to be mature Christians, to be ready for the solid food, and yet how many of us flounder with what Paul considered to be the fundamental teachings about our Lord. And for those that do know the basics, do you share with those of us that are less knowledgeable, do you have the patience to teach those of us who are slow to learn over and over again. Until and unless we have the basics about Christ through constant use, we will not be able to live in righteousness. So we ask those of us that are mature in Christ, to never give up and be ever patient with us who are slow learners so that we may be in a position to understand the teaching of rig...
