The Great Commission
Mathew 28:19,20, ‘Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you.’ As His time to go back to the Father came, Jesus gave His disciples a charge to accomplish: they were to make disciples of all nations by baptizing them and teaching them to obey His teachings. More than 2000 years have elapsed since His ascension and we who are now His disciples are still charged to spread the gospel of the good news that through God’s grace, whosoever believes in the one and only Son of God will not perish but have everlasting life. Many believers however are scared and ashamed into silence of sharing this knowledge with those in our life for fear of rejection. We believe like Samuel that if we minister unto them and they reject it they have rejected us, we feel obliged to convince and convict them into getting saved. But that is where we get it wrong.
