We are God’s Workmanship

Psalm 28:6-9, ‘Praise be to the LORD, for He has heard my cry for mercy. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song. The LORD is the strength of His people, a fortress of salvation for His anointed one. Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them for ever.’ We are all God’s workmanship, so that no one can boast that he is saved by his own deeds, might or will. It is by the grace of God that we are saved, by having faith in He who He sent to suffer our judgment and die in our place, to be our fortress of salvation, so that those that believe in Him, who submit and wholly trust the anointed one of God – the Christ – then they will be redeemed, they will be strengthened, filled with peace and joy of God that is circumstance defying. Those that know who their Savior is, their Redeemer, sing shouts of praise to Him, thanking Him for all He has done, for His ...

Good or Evil: Living For Your Fellow (Wo)Man

Job 35:2-8, ‘Do you think this is just? You say, “I shall be cleared by God.” Yet you ask Him, “What profit is it to me, and what do I gain by not sinning?” I would like to reply to you and to your friends with you. Look up at the heavens and see; gaze at the clouds so high above you. If you sin, how does that affect Him? If your sins are many, what does that do to Him? If you are righteous, what do you give to Him, or what does He receive from your hand? Your wickedness affects only a man like yourself, and your righteousness only the sons of men.’ Most of us think that when we are doing good, we are doing God a favor, but ask yourself, how does He profit when you care for the needy, when you love your neighbor as yourself. How does it affect Him if you decide not to love your neighbor, when you live a life of selfishness and greed? Not one of your deeds affect Him. It is only people, fellow men and women, that are affected by your deeds here on earth and will either be uplifted, enc...

Power over the World

Mathew 18:18, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.’ We have been given authority from heaven by God the Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior in whom we have placed all our hope and trust to overcome everything of and in this world. Whatever we bind or set loose from our lives, the Father, who is just and faithful, because we ask in faith, will bind it in heaven, and it will be bound here on earth. All we have to do is to believe in the Son that He sent to redeem and renew us, have faith in that He is faithful and will do all that He promised us.

Who Do You Chose To Believe

Hebrews 12:1-3, ‘Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you do not grow weary and lose heart.’ As believers we know that the physical realm is not the only one in the world, but there are powerful and forces, both good and bad, in the spiritual realm that are watching us live our lives as we try to accomplish the purpose and will of God for our lives. The evil one, the great deceiver Satan, tries to dissuade us, divert us, confuse us, blind us so that we may lose our way in disobedience and rebellion to God’s will and not finish the race before us. The righteou...

Our Faith is in Christ

1 Peter 1:8,9, ‘Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.’ All who believe in God do so in faith. We believe in faith that the bible is the word of God, a revelation of Christ to man, we believe in Jesus to be the Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who is fully divine and came to earth to be the son of man. We believe that His crucifixion was by divine design to unite us to God. We believe that He was raised on the third day by God, and ascended to be seated at the right hand of the Father. In faith we believe that our sins are forgiven when we confess our sins to Christ, in faith we believe that we die in Christ at the cross to our sinful life and nature, and are resurrected in Him as new beings full of power and eternal life, in faith we believe we are seated in Him at heavenly places at th...

Strengthening Your Faith

1 Peter 1:7, ‘These (all kinds of trials) have come so that your faith – of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire – may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.’ This world is full of trials and tribulations and many of us when faced we go around sad and feeling persecuted. But look at it this way, our Lord controls everything of this world, because control was given to Him, and if you are facing a trial, He has allowed you to face it for a reason, and the reason is for you to be shaped, molded and matured spiritually. Just like a pearl is shaped due to an irritation, a believer’s faith in the one who called us to Himself is built up. So when you face these trials, do not despair but rejoice because He that is in you is still doing His work in you to make you whole and without blemish, a pure bride for His second coming.

We are Incomplete

When one makes the decision to accept Jesus Christ as His Lord and that He died for your sake so that you may receive eternal life, there is usually an expectation of change. You cannot go to God and remain the same for before you were living in sin but now you pursue righteousness as shown in Romans 6:2, '...we died to sin; how can we live in it any longer.' These initial times are usually the challenging times in a christian's life. But God will never leave you alone during these time of great need. You join Christ by faith and then you begin to know Him by reading the Word as is written in the bible and through prayer and fellowship. When Jesus was leaving the disciples so that they start preaching of the gospel, he told them he would send them something to help them as shown in Luke 24:49, 'I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power on high.' The helper was the Holy Spirit as further evidence...
