Your Jubilee is Here

Leviticus 25:8-10, ‘“Count off seven sabbaths of years – seven times seven years – so that the seven sabbaths of seven years amount to a period of forty nine years. Then have the trumpet sounded everywhere on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement sound the trumpet throughout your land. Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each one of you is to return to his own clan.”’ Jubilee was a time when people or things were restored back to their former self or position. As believers and followers of Christ, our jubilee came 2000 years ago when Christ died on the cross for our sins because at the cross, we were not only forgiven, but we were restored, and restored to a much better position than we were initially for in Christ we are joint heirs with Him of all the promises made to the seed of Abraham. The covenant that we are living under in Christ is much superior than the one that was there before. Believer, you are a child of the Most High God but the Devil has been lying to you so that you can live in slavery. Your jubilee has come, do not live any longer as a prisoner of sin but free your self and return to your former clan for you are in this world but not of it. You are from the Kingdom of God. Live a victorious life that God has set aside for you.

God of the Heart

Mark 12:38-40, ‘As He taught Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the market places, and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at the banquets. They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely.’ God is a God of the heart. He sees and judges what our motives are rather than our outward appearances. As men, we can deceive each other, living well scripted lives that portray us to be one way, earning the praise and honor of men, but deep down we know the truth about ourselves, we can fool everyone and anyone but ourselves and God.
