How excellent is Your name in all the earth!
Psalm 8:3-14,
3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The
moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
4 What is man that You are mindful of him,
And
the son of man that You visit him?
5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And
You have crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You have made him to have dominion over the works of
Your hands;
You
have put all things under his feet,
7 All sheep and oxen—
Even
the beasts of the field,
8 The birds of the air,
And
the fish of the sea
That
pass through the paths of the seas.
9 O Lord, our Lord,
How
excellent is Your name in all the
earth!
The God that created the universe, created you too and
He loves and cares for you dearly. Due to the lies of the Deceiver, Satan, man
lost the glory that God had crowned upon him and the dominion given to him on
earth. But God in His great love and mercy upon us, made a way for us to be
reconciled to Him and regain the lost glory.
Through the Son of Man, Jesus, we have access to the
throne of grace. By grace we are saved, through faith in Jesus Christ, not of
our own doing but a gift from God. The new covenant through Jesus Christ will bring greater glory for those that are in Him that pales the glory that made the face of Moses, the great Patriarch of the Israelite's (2 Corinthians 7-11). Those who hear, have been called, justified and glorified by the Father in Christ (Romans 8:30). Nothing in this world can overcome us for Christ has already overcome the world (John 16:33). Dominion been wrestled from the Prince of the Air, Satan, through the cross and given back unto us (Matthew 16:19).
The love that God has for us is unfathomable, beyond
our understanding, but it is true and real and only if we were able to know
this love that surpasses knowledge, then we would be filled to the measure of
all the fullness of God. My prayer for you today is that you may be deeply
rooted and established in love may grasp how wide and long and high and deep is
the love of Christ for us.
With this knowledge, who cannot praise the name of God
in all the earth?
