God’s Will

Romans 12:2, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.” God has an acceptable, good and pleasing will for us. He wants us to have life while the Devil wants us to perish in sin, He wants to be a blessing to us and the Devil wants to destroy us. God has given us the freedom to choose. Everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial. The world promotes a culture of ‘everything goes’. The shape and direction of our culture right now leaves you with more questions than answers as to what is right or wrong. But the word of God provides us with the wisdom to make up our minds what is beneficial for us or not. There is a battle going on for your soul. God is a just God and wants us to choose for ourselves who we want to abide by. It would be cruel if you did all you could to turn away from Him and His Kingdom now and then find yourself in Heaven. The question to ask yourself is, will we abide by Him or by the Devil? What will you choose my friend?

God of the Heart

Mark 12:38-40, ‘As He taught Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the market places, and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at the banquets. They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely.’ God is a God of the heart. He sees and judges what our motives are rather than our outward appearances. As men, we can deceive each other, living well scripted lives that portray us to be one way, earning the praise and honor of men, but deep down we know the truth about ourselves, we can fool everyone and anyone but ourselves and God.
