Heeding God´s Call

God invites everyone to come to Him and this call is made in Isaiah 55:1, 'Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.' All who accept God must do it on their own free volition and what is on offer is free of charge for those that want it.

So why is God asking us to go to Him, what is He offering us? God is offering us nourishment of the soul, His love and eternal life to all those who are faithful to him like His servant David as shown in Isaiah 55:2-3, 'Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labour on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.'

We do not have a lot of time to seek the Lord for it must be done now. We need to make the choice to give our lives to God now as the time is limited as put in Isaiah 55:6, 'Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.' We must not procrastinate and put off the decision when we feel in our hearts´ that yearning of being close to Him. You might never again feel that yearning and all will be lost.

The word of God shall not be spread in vain. There is divine design in the timing, the delivery to each and every person. God tells us this in Isaiah 55:10-11, 'As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is My word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will achieve the purpose for which I sent it.'

Have you received that call and are you ready to heed it or do you still procrastinate. Allow it to grow in your heart so that you may blossom. Accept His Call.

God of the Heart

Mark 12:38-40, ‘As He taught Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the market places, and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at the banquets.
