Giving Praise to God

we need to take time and be thankful to the Lord for all the things he has done in our life, the blessings he has poured on us, the afflictions he has prevented us from suffering, the courage he has given us to face difficult times, the solace he gave us when we were sorrowful, and the gift of forgiveness and eternal life. Our God is a compassionate and gracious God and we need to rejoice and be glad in it. We should honor God with songs of praise for even the angels honor him with song in heaven.

It is good that in most churches before they start the service, they honor God with songs of praise and worship. These songs not only honor God but uplift us, they give us hope, they empower us and remind us of our loving Father, Our Saviour, Our redeemer, Our comforter. David put it best in Psalms 103:1-5, ´Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits – who forgives all your sins, and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle´s.´

We should praise him not just with our mouths but with our souls. Our hearts need to be glad in it. So take sometime to praise our wonderful Lord. Do you praise him? Do you feel he is worth of your praise?
