Our Lord´s Prayer

Mathew 6:9-15, 'This then is how you should pray, Our father who is in Heaven, Hallowed be His name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven, give us today our daily bread, forgive us our tresspasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'

Jesus taught his disciples how to pray to the father the above prayer that is being recited in school by children everyday. Most of us know it by heart but do we understand it. Do we practice what we confess to the father, that is reverence of the Almighty God, acceptance of His divine will as being supreme, acknowledgement that He is the originator of all our blessings, forgiveness of our brothers for their sins against us, acceptance that deliverance from the deceiver and penalty of sin comes only from Him through His Son Jesus Christ.

He also taught them how to pray, that we should not be hypocritical by praying so as to be seen by men; and refrain from making long winding speeches because God already knows all the desires of our hearts even before we ask. So be mindful of how you speak to the Father for your prayers to be answered and do whatever you profess to Him
