Future Glory
Some Christians practice the faith under circumstances of persecution where even reading the bible, singing songs of praise for the Lord and prayer are done in hiding, yet they still persevere and willingly lay down their lives for the sake of Christ with the belief that they will eventually be glorified as promised by Christ when He left us. Romans 8:18 exemplifies this well, 'I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.'
This glory will come when they are redeemed upon Christ´s return enjoying eternal life. But this redemption comes only by faith. Faith is explained in Hebrews 11:1 as being , 'Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.´ And the faith is belief in this scriptures, John 3:16-18, 'For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned...'
We symbolize this acceptance by being baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the holy Spirit and obeying everything commanded by Christ in Mathew 28:19-20, 'Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of age.'
