Salvation the way to prosperity

How often is man preoccupied with materiality. We are so anxious about what we will eat, where will sleep, what we will wear that we are willing to sell our souls to gain them yet in the long run what is more valuable, this things or your soul? God reassures us that we should not spend time worrying about things in Mathew 6:25, 'Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?' Anxiety does not solve anything and shows that even though we profess our God to be Mighty, we do not have faith in Him to come through in our time of need.

We should be more concerned with attaining the salvation promised. God knows our needs and He will fulfil them. He tells us this in Mathew 6:32-33, 'For the pagans run after all these things, and your Heavenly Father knows you need them. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.' We need not fret about tomorrow for the troubles of today are enough to keep us busy and we need to learn to put everything by faith in the hands of Our Lord for He fulfils His promises.
