Sex Overrated: Precedence over God's Love

Ephesians 4:18-19 "They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity with a continual lust for more." Paul was saying this when he was referring to the Gentiles attitude towards Christ. But don't we see it alot these days in our society. Pornography is endemic. Access to pornographic material has been made easy and can be accessed at the touch of a button on the phone. Our local fm stations are also doing their part in spreading the message of promiscuity. Some are presenting avenues for those interested in illicit affairs to meet. The 'hot' topics are about casual sex, having mistresses and adultery.
Our hearts are hardened and we are separated from God and His love, we have been deluded into believing that the sole purpose in our life is to derive sexual pleasure. But sadly the truth of the matter is that we will never be satisfied, we will continue spiralling downward as we get more and more perverse in our quest of finding joy. But true joy comes from knowing the Lord. We need to renew the spirit of our mind by being prayerful and reading the bible regularly. Only then can we find the inner peace we so greatly crave for.

Mark 12:38-40, ‘As He taught Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the market places, and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at the banquets. They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely.’ God is a God of the heart. He sees and judges what our motives are rather than our outward appearances.
