Jesus the Lamb of God

Hebrews 3:14-18, ´Since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity so that by His death He might destroy Him who holds the power of death – that is, the devil – and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely it is not angels He helps, but Abraham´s descendants. For this reason He had to be made like His brothers in every way, in order that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that He might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because He himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted.´

The devil, enticed man to sin, so that he rebelled against God and the law which requires that the wages of sin be death, therefore man´s death was demanded for the law to be fulfilled. But God the Father in His divine plan full of grace, sent us Jesus the Christ, His divine Son, to live as a man, be tested in the same way as we are, yet remaining sinless, so that He might become the perfect lamb for the payment of the requirement of the law by shedding of his blood once and for all and an effective high priest for His brother able to help us who are being tempted and intercede for us before the father in heaven.

Through the Lord Jesus, we have been liberated from the bondage of sin and the power of the prince of this world, the devil. We the seed of Abraham who is the father of all those who live by faith, have a share of the promise given through the Christ. We have been redeemed and made righteous by our faith in Christ and He is before the Father as a High Priest making atonement for our sins.

How my heart rejoices in the limitless grace of God, praise be upon the Most High, Glory to His Mighty Name, my Redeemer, my Restorer, my Saviour, in whom I am seated in Heavenly places.
