Vigilance
Hebrews 6:10-12,
´God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you
have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help
them. We want each of you to show the same diligence to the very end,
in order to make your hope sure. We do not want you to become lazy,
but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has
been promised.´
The Devil is
relentless in His quest to make you stumble so that you may not enjoy
the inheritance promised to you by God through Christ. He
continuously tempts us with sin more so in our moments of weakness.
We need to strengthen our faith and develop our spiritual strength so
that we become strong in Christ and are able to overcome this
temptations.
God is faithful
and will fulfill His promises to us that we received through and in
Christ as we reap each according to what we have sown. But it will be
a shame if we lose out because we faltered just when we were about to
finish the race, when we were about to claim our prize.
Remembering that
the fight is not yet over, the victory not yet claimed, the promise
not yet fulfilled and that the Devil will not rest until the end of
days should spur us to be vigilant, continuously train to be
spiritually strong, put on the full armor of God to be protected and
pray to Him who has the power over everything on earth and in Heaven
for strength, faith and hope.
