The Source of my Strength

Habakkuk 3:19, ‘The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to go on the heights.’ Place all your trust and hope in the Lord and He will help you overcome any mountain that is coming across your path. He will renew your strength, uplift you, redeem you so that the enemy cannot overtake and overrun you. He should be your reservoir of life, your fountain of fresh living water, the rock of your foundation and you shall never lack the strength to do what He has called you to do.

God of the Heart

Mark 12:38-40, ‘As He taught Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the market places, and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at the banquets. They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely.’ God is a God of the heart. He sees and judges what our motives are rather than our outward appearances. As men, we can deceive each other, living well scripted lives that portray us to be one way, earning the praise and honor of men, but deep down we know the truth about ourselves, we can fool everyone and anyone but ourselves and God. We need to aspire to live like David, only for God. We need to put His purpose above ours. We need to live by His will and not ours. We need to be men and women after God’s hearts.
