Obey your way to Prosperity

Psalm 1:1-3, ‘Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law he mediates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.’ Jesus told us that we should first seek the kingdom of God and God in His faithfulness would meet our needs. Seeking God’s kingdom means loving God and to His will for your life is the demonstration of this love. God created each one of us for a purpose in life, He wants us to achieve that purpose and the only way we can do is by aligning our will with His by submission because He knows the path that we are to take to reach there. In other words we need to walk in His counsel and away from those that will mislead and derail us from our God given path of obedience to a path of rebellion and selfishness and ultimate destruction. We need to immerse ourselves in His word so that we know Him intimately, meditate on it so that our thinking is guided by Him, to always seek guidance on every matter through prayer; our values and convictions are based on His revelation in our hearts, only then can we be living a life of total obedience and submission. Jesus lived and prepared for thirty years for a three and a half years ministry. Each of those thirty years was necessary to prepare and equip Him for His ministry. And during those three years, He did mighty and wonderful things that have not been done before or after by any man. He was able to accomplish the purpose for which He came. The same applies to us, we need to trust and obey the Father that He is faithful and will lead us to achieving the purpose and dream He has placed in us. Let us not be like King Saul who decided to rebel against God’s will and had the kingdom snatched away from Him. Be like David, a man after God’s own heart, and He will cause the works of your hands to prosper beyond what you ask or imagine for His glory because only through Him are all things possible but outside of Him nothing is possible. So it will not matter whether there is a recession or famine or any natural hindrance to your efforts, but your success will be assured because God will infuse the super in your natural, the extra to the ordinary. But remember that in all things glorify Him but when you are blessed and start listening to the counsel of your enemies who will puff you up with rebellion and disobedience, God will leave you and you will face scorn and destruction.
