Pleasing Sacrifice To God

Hebrews 13:15-16, ‘Through Jesus, therefore let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise – the fruit of lips that confess His name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. To offer the sacrifice that pleases my Lord God, I praise Him from the depths of my heart singing songs of praise and worship confessing Him Lord of my life and loving others to the extent of doing good and sharing with them. Let us offer sacrifices worthy of God’s approval.

God of the Heart

Mark 12:38-40, ‘As He taught Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the market places, and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at the banquets. They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely.’ God is a God of the heart. He sees and judges what our motives are rather than our outward appearances. As men, we can deceive each other, living well scripted lives that portray us to be one way, earning the praise and honor of men, but deep down we know the truth about ourselves, we can fool everyone and anyone but ourselves and God.
